OMG, I know. I feel like a pill popper. I take B6, Fertility Blend (which has vitex as the main ingredient), prenatals, and Calcium. I’ve taken the B6 for 1-1/2 cycles now, and have noticed that it seems to have stablized my temperatures and lengthened my luteal phase by one day. This is my first cycle with Fertility Blend, so I don’t have much to report on the effectiveness of vitex yet.
1) B6 start with 50mg. See if that helps; if not, slowly work up. B6 can have side effects and overdose can result in neuropathy (nerve pain), so do not go above 200mg/day. I currently take 75mg because its the most I can handle without nausea. You can take B6 during your whole cycle.
2) EPO I’m not sure of the dosage, but I do know that you stop taking this after ovulation. It simply helps with fertile CM. Another thing to try that works amazingly well (if you either wind up not liking the EPO or find it doesn’t work) is plain old cough syrup. The kind that ONLY has guaifenesin in it (you can even get alcohol-free kinds). I’ve tried it and was stunned at the results.
3) Vitex I currently take in pill form; however, I think this sort of depends on the brand you get. The recommended dosage is 30-40mg of the herb, so whatever that seems to work out to based on whatever the label says. You can take vitex your whole cycle, but stop it once pregnancy is confirmed.
Both B6 and Vitex can take 3-5 months to see results. The EPO you should see results the first month you use. Good luck!!!
